Cause supported in 2023

In May 2023 the Desi Ramblers, as part of their annual May challenge walk, raised funds towards equipment to be used in the Chirag Education and Health Awareness centre in Chirag, Kritpura, Bihar, India.  Bihar continues to be one of the poorest regions in India and Desi Ramblers have choose the cause to improve the lives of youth in Chirag.  All the funds raised by MEMC for the Shropshire challenge will be for use at the Chirag education centre.

The project “Saksham” at Chriag, will provide vocational training in Basic Computer/Tally with soft skills such as spoken English.  The funds raised by the Desi Ramblers will be used to provide training materials for some of the poorest youths in Bihar.
